Advanced Defensive Pistol

This 1-day pistol course focuses on developing aggressive gun-handling skills. The concepts of dominating the weapon, threat, and all visual areas while moving off the line of force will be emphasized throughout the class.

Students will develop reflexive skills that will enable them to quickly and efficiently engage threats. Course will cover the following topics:

Review of shooting fundamentals
All presentations are from the holster
Moving off the line of force and lateral displacement
Threat assessment and area scanning
Dominating the weapon
Ammunition management and reloading techniques
Malfunction clearance drills
Combat gun-handling skills
Engaging multiple threats
Situational decision making based on your opponent’s weapon, characteristics, and proximity
Responding to threats utilizing non-standard presentation techniques
Use of cover and concealment

This is not a course for a beginner. You must have participated in our 2-day Intro to Tactical Defensive Shooting or an equivalent in order to participate in this course.
